I have been improvising for ten years, I am a founder member of Austentatious: The Improvised Novel and perform in the two-prov show Cariad&Paul: A Two Player Improvised Adventure, scored by folk band The Glue Ensemble.
I was a founder member of The Institute, the Canal Cafe Theatre’s resident impro troupe, who won the London TheatreSports Cup. I take part in the annual London 50-hour improvathon, as well as the 30-hour improvathons in Cork, Liverpool and at The Bristol Old Vic. I have also performed in the 53-hour Soapathon with Die-Nasty in Edmonton, Canada. I am a member of MonkeyToast: The Improvised Chatshow, and I have guested with The Comedy Store Players, Baby Wants Candy, Showstoppers, Ken Campbell’s School of Night, and The English Lovers in Vienna. I have also performed at The UCB and The PIT in New York & at The UCB in Los Angeles.
I used to teach Level 1 & Level 2 of David Shore’s Longform Improv courses. This is an 8 week course in Chicago style long-form, focussing mainly on scene work. There are classes on weeknights and Sundays.
I am not currently teaching a class, but would highly recommend David’s classes, along with fellow teacher Paul Foxcroft.
For more information, or to book a place, please contact David on firstname.lastname@example.org
I am available to teach one-off improv classes and workshops for all levels. Please tweet me @ladycariad if you are looking for an improv teacher or a workshop.
