LANGUAGE GUIDE

Pronouns - She/Her

Cariad is extremely experienced at talking about grief, she is happy to talk about any aspect of her own personal journey but please be aware this is not always an easy topic to discuss.

If you are going to use her Father’s real name in an interview - please let us know prior to the interview. If you wish to talk through any aspects of his illness or death, again please let us know prior to the interview.

IN PERSON EVENTS

If you wish to book Cariad for a festival or event, please ensure that there is someone on hand to assist her before and after with audience members. If you wish her to take part in a book signing - please let us know prior to the event, and ensure someone is able to manage the queue. She does not allow photographs whilst at book events, unless taken by the official photographer during the event and/or on stage.

Any book event which discusses grief and/or death, should offer a holding slide at the end, informing the audience of the charities, Cruse and the Samaritans, where they can get help if they have been affected by the talk.

A quiet place to reflect before or after the event, where possible, would also be appreciated.
